Hej!

I'm Lindsay. A pattern-loving, interiors obsessed, mama of two, painting the quirky, colorful world inside my head. For as long as I can remember I have always loved creating and it was my Nanny, in particular, who taught me from a young age how to live an artful life. I find beauty in a hand-painted porcelain dish at the flea market, the contrast of the minty green succulent against a pink building in Positano, or the magnolia just starting to blossom after the long and dark summer (did I mention I live in Sweden!).

My love for the arts lead me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and art education in upstate New York and, two weeks before I graduated, my life took an unexpected turn. Enter, Swedish boyfriend! After two and a half years of long distance, and in the middle of a masters degree in interior architecture, I moved to Stockholm. Luckily Stockholm is an interior designer's dream and moving has enriched my world and design taste in so many ways. Fast forward ten years, I'm still living in Stockholm with my husband, two kiddos, jack russel rescue and am currently teaching middle school art, in swedish!

Often feeling like I live in two worlds, my art has been a way for me to marry those worlds and deal with feelings of both nostalgia and wanderlust. I believe in the power of color to lift one's spirt and brighten up even the darkest of days in the Swedish winter. Channeling warm summer nights, a spritz in hand, cozy conversation, and moments both near and far, I want my art to convey a sense of warmth, optimism and joy.
